Jennifer Roland is a writer living in Oregon. Her first book, The Best of Learning & Leading with Technology, was published by ISTE in July 2009.
Before embarking on her freelance career, she was a staff member of the International Society for Technology in Education, a nonprofit educational technology membership association. She served on various ISTE periodicals, including Learning & Leading with Technology, the Journal of Research on Technology in Education, and the targeted journals and newsletters. She also helped edit program materials for the National Educational Computing Conference and ISTE books.
Jennifer holds bachelor’s degrees in magazine journalism and political science from the University of Oregon. Her education also focused on history, economics, linguistics, and educational policy and management.

The Best of Learning & Leading with Technology: Selections from Volumes 31-35
Jennifer’s first book, The Best of Learning & Leading with Technology, was released in July 2009.
It brings together not only the most popular and insightful articles from the past five years of ISTE’s flagship magazine but also commentary from Jennifer and the original authors of many of the articles. Learning & Leading with Technology magazine has always held a place of thought leadership among technology-using educators. With this collection, new teachers, new ISTE members, and seasoned professionals will all be able to learn from the best practices and ideas that emerged from the magazine.
